Praying

For political stability and that governments will act justly with wisdom and integrity and that nations will not be impeded by corruption.

For God to break through in nations becoming increasingly secularised.

That nations will be open and receptive to the gospel and that Christians will have freedom to worship and share the good news of Jesus Christ

That governments will be committed to act to stem the spread of easily preventable diseases such as cholera and malaria and that the population would be educated to stem the spread of HIV

That people's eyes will be opened to the truth of the gospel and strongholds in people's minds will be broken

“The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and wonderful results." (James 5:16 NLT)

Prayer is crucial and undergirds everything we do. We need people to pray like never before in an ever-changing world where we see the rise of evil. As Samuel Chadwick once said, “The one concern of the devil is to keep Christians from praying. He fears nothing from prayerless studies, prayerless work and prayerless religion. He laughs at our toil, mocks at our wisdom, but trembles when we pray!”

Prayer really does make a difference to lives, communities and even nations across the world, we can do nothing without it.

PRAY FOR OUR MISSIONARIES:

						That they would continue to grow in their personal relationship with God and that their love for Him will grow daily
						That they will know comfort when they are feeling discouraged, isolated, broken hearted or stressed
						For God's protection as they continue to work for him
						That they will have good health and strength
						That they might be constantly refilled with the Holy Spirit and know his guiding and empowering in their daily lives
						For wisdom as they plan and prepare, that they will know the will of God when deciding priorities, for Godly vision to see the needs
						That God would bring them into contact with those who are seeking and who have receptive hearts
						That they would maintain good and healthy relationships with fellow workers, other missions groups and national workers
						That they would know the hand of God at work in their families. Pray that their family life will be an example to those who are watching
						For those preparing to serve overseas and that God will raise up a new generation of missionaries who will go into all the world

PRAYING FOR A COUNTRY

PRAY FOR CHURCHES, PASTORS AND LEADERS

						That they will receive the necessary teaching to help them effectively build churches and disciple new Christians
						That the Church will be free from government intervention and that leaders of churches will have wisdom when dealing with authorities
						That God would unite the Body of Christ in each nation
						For churches and leaders who are seeking to help meet the needs of the poor, widows and orphans
						For pastors and leaders to be filled with Holy Spirit wisdom as they seek to reach people with the good news of Jesus
						For those who are persecuted for their faith, that they would remain steadfast despite the difficult circumstances they may face
						That as the Word of God is preached signs and wonders will follow
						That the Church would be a good witness and see many people coming to know Christ
						For church planters to be strengthened in their daily task and their work will bear fruit for the glory of God
