Jane is from Elim’s Birmingham Christian Centre church and has a degree in Business Studies and is also a trained nurse. She was brought up in the Catholic Church and as such believed in God but had no personal relationship with Him. In her last year at University in February 1991 her father called her to say he was going to be baptised. It was a complete shock to hear that her father had become a Christian. Later that day as Jane was preparing to go to Mass she felt an amazing presence of love and knew she was a sinner and that going to Mass wasn’t going to remove that. She called her Dad back and he explained about repentance, being born again and spirit filled. Jane says, “Before it was all religion this is real and the truth! You can know God personally and he speaks to you. “
Jane trained as a nurse in order to be equipped and ready to serve God on the mission field full-time. She went to Swaziland in June 2007 as an Elim Missionary to work with Teen Challenge Swaziland. The Swaziland Nursing Council has now registered Jane permanently which is a real blessing as this means she doesn’t have to re-apply every two years.
